Sorry for the cliché, but I’m struck by the fact that some people are in a proverbial bad mood. I have to admit that on rare occasions I have found the black cloud in every silver lining. On a couple of occasions, I have even been called “Eeyore.” I generally try to be positive and project a positive attitude. When I start to feel like Winnie the Pooh’s tail-less friend, I try to remember how blessed I am, and that others are not as fortunate. In essence, an attitude of gratitude usually leads to a positive outlook, and people like positive people. What do I mean? For me my blessings are too many to list, but for starters – a great wife, three kids I love, a church I find fulfilling and many friends. I don’t have everything I want, but I certainly have everything I need. I have two jobs (architect and travel leader) I love and great co-workers. I get to work with great people doing work I think is important; work that makes a difference in people’s lives. I get to see great places and make many new friends. If you are reading this, you are one of our friends and the point of this blog. You’re one of those blessings that instill our attitude of gratitude.
